Stellations v0.1.0!
To begin the development of Stellations I've uploaded three different structures for public playtesting, and will be uploading more in the weeks to come. Once I've got a good grasp of the design space for these levels I'll be working on updating the sound and text components.
The first three structures are: the room, the body, the web
The room was my proof of concept for Stellations. It takes a dozen geometric primitives, intersects them with increasing connectivity, all while talking about feelings of loopiness and escape. The body is much more linear, moving from the gestural surface, to a rigid skeleton, and a chaotic inside. The crystal is straightforward but complex structure. A sort of playground for the "flying" mechanic, which still needs to be integrated into the main game loop. Press the stop button while hitting a point at high speed.
When creating new structures my areas of exploration will be
- procedurally generated structures
- kinetic structures
- 3D structures
- working across scales
- connections between structures
I've also attached builds of the main game scene, which has all the structures, albeit some unreachable.
